First Holistic Retreat in Cabo Opens its Doors on April 15, 2005

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - (April 1, 2005) - Like an elegantly written poem, Pacifica reveales its previously unknown secrets to the world on April 15, 2005. Located on the pristine Pacific Ocean side of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, the new 140-room, 14-suite beachside retreat is the first luxury resort in Baja totally committed to health and wellness.
The journey begins upon arrival. Because of the secluded nature of the retreat, guests are immersed in a self-contained world of natural beauty. Look one direction and guests are met with breathtaking views of the desert; look the other, and depending on the season, guests are likely to see whales playing in the sparkling blue of the Pacific.
Guests are encouraged to rid themselves of worldly concerns when entering Pacifica, donning instead a peaceful state of mind and plush, soothing slippers provided by the resort. Accommodations are Zen-inspired, minimally dressed with the finest natural materials, all ocean-view, airy, and light.
The highlight of the retreat is Pacifica's full-scale fitness facility and Armonia Spa, impeccably maintained under the watchful eye of the resort's General Manager, Dr. Alejandro Santander, a medical doctor who specializes in health, wellness and holistic treatments.
Armonia Spa features six treatment rooms and a VIP couple's treatment chamber, a Watsu pool, a Temazcal, signature treatments and individualized wellness consultations based on the holistic philosophy of treating body, mind, and spirit as one. Only natural healing ingredients are used at Armonia, including many derived from cactus and the sea, the two prevailing environmental elements of the retreat.
Pacifica will offer fine dining and unique menu items at their signature restaurant, Siempre, ("always" in English) featuring market fresh ingredients highlighted in both the wellness-oriented spa menu and a more indulgent 'splurge' menu. The restaurant is surrounded by an infinity pool that overlooks the beach and the Pacific. A dramatic skylight bathes the entire restaurant in aqua blue. In addition, 24-hour room service, the poolside restaurant-bar Aire, and two additional cafes and bars (one of them a juice bar) will satiate any palate.
