Emerald Bay Resort & Spa To Debut Top-Of-The-Line Spa In '08
Distinctive, Restorative Amenities Include Chromatherapy, Aromatherapy
Mazatlan, Mexico - July 3, 2007 - Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort and Spa has announced the January 2008 debut of a luxurious, 15,000 square foot, state-of-the-art spa that will surely capture and enrapture hotel guests and local residents. Featuring the look and feel of Old Mazatlan, the spa will proffer a taste of that period's neoclassical flourishes and the soothing sounds of waterfalls and fountains, combined with an old-world ambiance and relaxing, warm colors. Although the stand-alone, full service spa is being designed to reflect the area's early beauty, its services and amenities will be leading edge.
Touting 14 treatment rooms, including a couple's massage and VIP rooms, the spa's wet areas will showcase Jacuzzis, a steam room, Swiss shower, aromatherapy shower, cold plunge and a water reflexology path, allowing guests to select the most desirable format for relaxation and renewal in this luxurious, lush, and stress-free environment.
"Our new spa will be a haven for guests who want to restore the balance of outer vitality and inner calm," says Spa Director Mizraim Corpus Espinoza. "It will be a luxuriant, fragrant, and relaxing sanctuary where the body, mind, and soul will be nurtured through our distinctive and health-enhancing treatments. Our specialists are adept at the newest trends in spa services and will offer an eclectic menu of massages, facials, and other nurturing treatments."
In addition to complementing the spa treatments, the energizing art of aromatherapy will dominate the spa's public and private spaces: lavender will invigorate the senses in the lobby, while the fitness center will be filled with the fragrance of soothing chamomile and the wet areas will refresh with the scent of citrus.
The spa's men's and women's male relaxation areas will provide the additional health benefits of chromotherapy, sometimes called color therapy. Specifically designed to maximize the use of color and light to balance one's energy levels, this is where guests will feel enveloped in a tropical cocoon as they allow the benefits of their treatments to sink in and rejuvenate the mind and body. Two flat screen televisions displaying soothing videos with sounds of nature will create an additionally restorative ambiance.
The spa's on-site fitness center will feature the latest in cardiovascular equipment, complete with cardio theatres, weight equipment, free weights and a fitness studio for Pilates, yoga, aerobics and spinning classes. Guests will also enjoy taking fitness classes on the beach, which can include Pilates, stretching, yoga and walking. Additionally, the spa will offer treatments at four beachfront cabanas that proffer exquisite ocean views, as well as provide private spa services at the Emerald Estates.
A spa boutique will feature the spa's exclusive Natura Bisse products and exquisite Mexican products. To complete the soon-to-be the most deluxe spa in all of Mazatlan, there will be a full-service beauty salon that will offer hair and nail services.
