Announcing a New Pueblo Bonito Vantage

The next chapter of luxury hospitality is about to unfold as Pueblo Bonito Vantage Mazatlán Centro Histórico prepares to make its debut on April 13, 2025. Nestled in the heart of Mazatlán’s historical district, the second property in our Vantage collection is set to redefine luxury hospitality in one of Mexico’s most vibrant and culturally rich destinations with its signature sophisticated design, personalized service, amenity-rich program, and deep connection to local heritage. It’s an experience that’s at once seamlessly elevated and enriching.

This latest venture builds on the Vantage promise to deliver refined luxury with a sense of place, inviting you to discover Mazatlán through a thoughtfully curated lens. The setting itself is a tribute to the city’s storied past—housed within a renovated historic school building that has been transformed with an eye for detail and a desire to create a throughline between past and present. While staying in the city center places you amid the picturesque 19th-century architecture of the historic district, you’re nonetheless only a few blocks from the Malecón and Plaza Machado, providing a connection to the famed 13-mile waterfront promenade and the lively town square known for its historic architecture, cultural performances, and charming cafés.

With just 24 guest rooms, this boutique-style property offers an intimate, exclusive atmosphere, allowing you to experience dedicated attention in a setting of handmade luxury and quiet elegance. The interior design—the work of renowned Mexican firm Victor de Rueda—effortlessly blends antique and modern elements, creating spaces that feel both timeless and contemporary. Thoughtful touches throughout the hotel reflect Mazatlán’s distinctive character, from the locally inspired artwork to the high-end furnishings. Every detail here contributes to an experience that is as authentic as it is indulgent.

Speaking of indulgence, as with all Pueblo Bonito Resorts, dining at any of the concepts at this new property will be a journey through flavors and traditions. The hotel will feature six distinct concepts designed to showcase regional and international cuisine. Among them, Melville Restaurant has been inspired by Herman Melville, who visited Mazatlán in 1844. Enjoy an elegant dining experience in a space that pays tribute to the city's maritime and cultural heritage. As with other Pueblo Bonito resorts in Mazatlán, guests will also have access to Casa 46, a signature restaurant in a restored historic building overlooking Plaza Machado, where regional flavors meet the influences of the diverse cultures that have helped shape the city’s identity.

Beyond dining, guests can delight in a central plaza with a refined plaza bar, take a moment at the library, make use of the fitness center, indulge in a spa treatment, and unwind in the pool with a Jacuzzi. There are ample opportunities to relax and recharge throughout the small property. Whether relaxing in the beautifully designed wellness spaces, sipping craft cocktails in the courtyard, or setting out to explore Mazatlán’s cobblestone streets and stunning coastal views on a curated, immersive activity, every moment is meant to add a dash of the kind of joy that’s characteristic of the city.

Pueblo Bonito founder Ernesto Coppel, a Mazatlán native, envisions this hotel as the next step in the city’s evolution into a premier travel destination. Pueblo Bonito Vantage Mazatlán Centro Histórico proposes a new level of sophistication, one that’s deeply rooted in Mazatlán’s traditions and community spirit. If you’re looking for an exclusive experience that shifts your concept of a comfort zone, this ode to the Pearl of the Pacific is ready to meet you at your craving.
