Celebrating Women in Leadership at Pueblo Bonito

At Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts, we believe leadership and excellence are not gendered qualities. Our success is built on the dedication of extraordinary individuals, including the incredible women who guide our properties, shape guest experiences, and inspire future generations in the hospitality industry. This March, Women’s Month, we are proud to highlight the remarkable contributions of some key players at Pueblo Bonito.

So, let’s start with a standout view and an elevated perspective at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, where Gregoria “Goyita” Osako Cruz’s ongoing success story evolves daily. Over 35 years in the hospitality industry—including 33 within Pueblo Bonito Resorts—she has risen from an initial assistant role to her current position as General Manager at Sunset Beach. Having led multiple properties, including Pueblo Bonito Rosé and Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, Goyita’s career is a testament to perseverance and a deep love for the art of hospitality.

Her leadership is defined by an unwavering commitment to ensuring every guest experiences the warmth and luxury that are a hallmark of a Pueblo Bonito stay. As a mother, wife, and industry trailblazer, Goyita seamlessly balances her personal and professional life, inspiring those around her.

That includes members of her team. Rising stars like Chef Anaisa Guevara, Executive Chef at LaFrida at Sunset Beach, are at the heart of what makes this resort such a special place. Guevara’s culinary journey has taken her from the kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants to one of Mexico’s most celebrated fine-dining establishments. As the head of LaFrida, she honors her country’s rich culinary heritage while infusing her dishes with a personal touch that reflects innovation and global influences.

A native of Tijuana, Chef Anaisa trained at renowned restaurants such as Arzak in Spain and Addison in California. Recognized as one of Food & Wine Mexico’s “Best New Chefs in Mexico 2024,” she continues to elevate LaFrida’s reputation with her masterful interpretations of traditional Mexican cuisine. Her recent participation in the Chef Meets México event further cemented her status as someone to watch, as she collaborated with Michelin-starred chefs to create an unforgettable multi-course dining experience for a select group of very lucky guests.

Likewise, Montserrat Maldonado has redefined the spa experience at Pueblo Bonito as a forward-thinking leader in holistic self-care. Her approach goes beyond traditional treatments, integrating wellness into every aspect of a guest’s stay—from curated spa journeys to regenerative retreats that nourish the body, mind, and soul.

Her mission is to ensure that guests leave feeling renewed, not just relaxed. By emphasizing mindfulness, balance, and sustainable well-being, Montserrat has positioned Armonia Spa as one of Mexico’s premier spa destinations.

Over in the mainland, Lucy Ruiz brings decades of expertise in luxury hospitality to her role as the General Manager of the newly opened Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende. With previous leadership positions at AAA Five-Diamond properties such as Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Vidanta’s Grand Luxxe Nuevo Vallarta, she has a proven track record of delivering world-class guest experiences.

Her vision for the new Pueblo Bonito Vantage brand is to create an immersive stay, one through which guests can engage all five senses, blending the renowned Colonial city’s treasured culture with the sophistication and exclusivity of Pueblo Bonito’s latest luxury concept.

Beyond hospitality, Pueblo Bonito’s impact extends into the communities we serve—thanks in large part to Letty Coppel’s efforts. As the founder of the Letty Coppel Foundation, she has dedicated herself to empowering women through education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

From mobile medical units providing essential health services to programs supporting survivors of domestic violence, Letty’s foundation is a beacon of hope for countless women and families. Her work exemplifies Pueblo Bonito’s core belief that luxury isn’t about indulgence—it’s about making a meaningful difference.

These women and so many others who help Pueblo Bonito run embody leadership, creativity, heart, and empathy. Whether managing world-class resorts, crafting exquisite cuisine, shaping the future of wellness, or giving back to the community, they continually inspire and push forward the hospitality industry. We proudly celebrate their achievements—and look forward to seeing them continue to shape the future of Pueblo Bonito Resorts.

Plan your next visit to our Los Cabos resorts, and be sure to stop by LaFrida and the Armonia Spa to get a taste of the luxury these wonderful women have worked so hard to provide.
