Expanding a Mission of Care

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Letty Coppel Foundation continues to fulfill its mission of supporting underserved communities in Los Cabos, Mexico. With a focus on healthcare, social support, and community development, the foundation has touched countless lives through its philanthropic initiatives.

A cornerstone of the foundation's work is its mobile medical unit program. Launched in 2018, the first mobile unit served as a vital resource, providing free medical consultations, check-ups, medications, and basic procedures to over 600 people a month. This pioneering initiative — the first of its kind in Baja California Sur — addressed critical healthcare needs in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, and the surrounding areas.

Now, thanks to the unwavering support of donors, the Letty Coppel Foundation has taken a significant leap forward. The recent acquisition of a second mobile medical unit marks a new chapter in the foundation’s mission, paving the way to double the impact. With this second unit, the foundation’s teams of professionals can reach more people, expand their geographic reach, increase efficiency, and take the opportunity to specialize in a wider range of services.

Beyond providing medical services, the Letty Coppel Foundation champions preventative care education. Workshops on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention empower individuals and families to make informed decisions about their health.
