Golf Digest’s Editors’ Choice Award

For the seventh consecutive year, Pueblo Bonito’s Quivira Golf Club at Quivira Los Cabos has received the Editors' Choice: Best Golf Resorts in Mexico and Central America award from Golf Digest. We’re so humbled to have earned a top ranking once again from amongst the many beautifully curated courses in the region, and we’d like to take this opportunity to share all the reasons we think you should come, stay with us, and play a round.

To quote Golf Digest, “At the tip of Baja Sur is the newest of more than a dozen Jack Nicklaus layouts in Mexico, and perhaps his most compelling, with holes along and atop granite cliffs and sand dunes overlooking the Pacific.” And we couldn’t agree more. Indeed, the routing of our Jack Nicklaus Signature Quivira golf course starts on the beach before climbing to higher ground for unparalleled views of the Pacific. The diversity of the holes, from cacti and arroyos in rolling desert foothills to windswept dunes and cliffs, is supreme and unparalleled amongst other courses in the region. But you don’t have to be the best to play; situated beside the clubhouse is one of the most welcome sights in all of golf: a spacious, double-ended practice facility that parallels the ocean, with the sandy beach and rolling surf a mere wedge shot away from the verdant turfgrass. And when you need a break, or feel a need to celebrate, Quivira Steakhouse and 19th Hole Bar serves all, offering seating indoors and on a breezy covered terrace with breathtaking ocean views. Gather by the fire pit for a post-round brew, take a seat at the bar for a Quivira signature cocktail, or enjoy a casual dinner of steaks, tuna sliders and fish tacos.

Only guests of Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts and owners of properties in the exclusive Quivira Los Cabos Development enjoy access to the course, its amenities, and spectacular ocean views. But it’s no wonder our golfing family continues to grow; from the moment it opened, Quivira Golf Club won the praise from golfers around the world. Golf Magazine named it the “Best New International Golf Course” when it opened in 2014, and since then, the dazzling 7,085-yard layout has been voted to Golf Digest’s elite roster of the “World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.” But we’re not finished! Since we’re in the business of making great things even better, we’re expanding the Quivira golf experience at Land’s End and breaking ground on a second course later this year. After crafting the world-class layout that redefined the Cabo golf experience when the Quivira’s Golf Club opened in 2014, Jack Nicklaus has returned to design an equally spectacular peninsula-crowning course.

Situated within the northwest area of Quivira’s 1,850 acres, several of the holes on the new course will tumble through frolicking desert foothills and sweeping valleys, interwoven by twisting, cavernous arroyos. Abounding with natural bunkers, Quivira’s second Jack Nicklaus Signature Course will be sure to challenge. And designers spared no expense in order to maximize the views; the southern portion of the new course will once again feature panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the westernmost point of the Sea of Cortez, which swells with breaching whales during the winter months. Inland, tall, distant peaks will serve as dramatic backdrops for your longest drives.

Groundbreaking for Quivira Golf Club’s second Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is expected to take place by fourth quarter 2022. But don’t wait to plan your tee time.
