Baja California is a beautiful part of Mexico with a stunning coastline, vast and remote deserts, dormant volcanoes, and wonderful old mission towns. In a few words, it’s perfect for long, scenic drives, especially when Todos Santo—one of those wonderful mission towns—is your destination. Just an hour from Cabo San Lucas, Todos Santos is considered a “Pueblo Magico,” or Magic Town, with inspiring colonial buildings, colorful Mexican art and crafts, and delicious regional food made from local produce and spices. Want to visit? Lucky for you, our Pueblo Bonito properties in Los Cabos are ideal launching pads for your adventures, and we’d love to help you connect with one of the best touring outfits in the country to set you on your way.
Jeep Tours from Cabo to Todos Santos give you access to marvelous places without doing any of the work. Experience the stunning natural landscape of the Baja peninsula in style with High Tide Los Cabos’ Todos Santos tour. This exclusive private Cabo jeep tour brings you straight to the inspiration for Hotel California, the song made famous by The Eagles. But you’ll make a stop along the way first at Cerritos Beach, a popular surfers’ getaway. Once you hop out of the jeep, you can take a walk along the water's edge at this beautiful stretch of beach, go for a swim, or simply sit and watch the surfers at play. There’s even time to take a quick surfing lesson if you wish! (If activities in the water are your thing, you may also want to check out our Surfing Lessons at Costa Azul or Kayaking in Cabo San Lucas.) Then it's on to Todos Santos, where we’ll stop by the town’s legendary Hotel California and visit the historic 18th-century Todos Santos Mission, the Misión Santa Rosa de las Palmas. You'll have free time to explore the lovely town square on your own, visit some of the many galleries and handicraft stores, and of course, take photographs.
After finishing a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll go off-road to explore the Baja backcountry where you’ll get to take in some spectacular views of the Sierra Laguna mountains. All the while, enjoy the safety of having a trained driver at the helm, who also doubles as your knowledgeable tour guide. The price is per jeep, each with a maximum of three people. Five jeeps are available at any one time.
If you require more than one jeep, please make multiple bookings or use the inquiry form.

All the Magic - Still can’t decide if a Jeep Tour to Todos Santos is right for you? Perhaps learning a bit more about the Magic Village itself will help. Founded way back in 1723, the unassuming village of Todos Santos has taken centuries to become the surfing destination in Baja California Sur. That’s in large thanks to its pristine beaches, strong currents, and leisurely pace of living. It's also an oasis for fruit growers and produces large quantities of fresh papayas, mangoes, and avocados. But there’s more to this desert oasis than meets the eye. On a mesa overlooking a valley of ancient orchards and prolific gardens—a mile or so from the Pacific—Todos Santos bows to the towering Sierra de la Laguna mountains and glows green with endless groves of Washingtonian palms, mangos, papayas, avocados and other crops.
The valley where Todos Santos thrives was named a mission in 1733. But it wasn’t until the mid-1850s that Todos Santos really came alive thanks to sugar cane. At its peak in 1850, the town was home to eight sugar mills, driving an agricultural economy that fueled a refined, yet vibrant culture that included two theaters. And just like that, Todos Santos became the home of artists, sculptors, and other visionaries with most of the beautiful colonial style buildings and private homes being financed by sugar monies. But within a hundred years, the riches were depleted by natural disaster and war, turning the town dark until its miraculous resurgence in the 1980s. Organic agriculture and farming replaced the cane fields and ranching was reinstated as a way of life in the fertile lands surrounding the town. And finally, in order to move goods and people, a highway from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas opened, making it possible for day-trippers like you, to travel from Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos to Todos Santos. Today, when you visit, you may notice the sugar mill ruins at El Molino Trailer Park behind the town’s central Pemex gas station. Crumbling chimneys from destitute cane mills and vintage wrought iron creations adorned with colorful sprays of bougainvillea blossoms permeate the town with the vivid colors of Mexico.
Still, the town’s colorful history isn’t Todos Santos’ biggest attraction. As we’ve already mentioned, the best surfing spot around Todos Santos is at Playa Los Cerritos. What we didn’t mention is that Playa Los Cerritos can be a great place for shell collecting and offers miles of open beaches with some of the area’s safest swimming.
Todos Santos is absolutely worth the visit, even if only for a stroll through the streets to walk back in time. Most of Todos Santos’ “downtown” and cobblestone streets were built in the 1800s during its sugar cane boom. So, while many of the buildings’ insides have been remodeled, the colorful colonial facades are still intact. Shop for local treasures at spots like Etnica, Nomad Chic, and La Casa del Opalo, and enjoy a paleta or Mexican ice pop at La Paloma Heladeria y Paleteria when the sun demands it.
We look forward to the opportunity to help you book your Jeep Tour to Todos Santos; take four wheels to unforgettable memories!
