Los Cabos Tennis Open

With summer nearly here, it’s time to start making plans about how to spend it! Here in Los Cabos, we’re excited to look ahead to more fun in the sun, but this time, off the beach and onto the hard courts. It’s tennis season, and the city of Los Cabos invites you to see some of the best players in the sport compete for the title, right here at the Cabo Sports Center.

This summer, experience world-class tennis, great food and restaurants, live music, a kids’ zone, autographs and much more at the annual Mifel Tennis Open right here in Los Cabos. The tournament celebrates its seventh season this year and is staged, for the second consecuiteve year, on the hard courts at Cabo Sports Complex. It’s one of the most important tennis events in Latin America, and our Pueblo Bonito resorts in Cabo San Lucas are proud to host tennis fans flying in from all over the region and the world.

Starting July 31st and rallying through August 5th, the tournament is expected to draw more than 30,000 fans to see international tennis stars Tommy Paul, Cameron Norrie, Karen Khachanov, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and more. With close to $900,000 being awarded to the winner, competition promises to be fierce. 

You can buy full-week series tickets, weekend series tickets, Monday-through-Wednesday series tickets, or individual tickets, with all your options available for purchase online, in person at the box office, or over the phone. No matter what ticket packet you choose, you’ll get access to the main stadium, access to the the Grandstand Caliente XM and alternate courts, as well as access to the commercial and food areas. The alternate courts and practice courts offer opportunities to see the players closer up. On Kids Day, July 30th, expect many surprises for the kiddos.

Fishing- Los Cabos is an easily accessible fishing destination open to anyone wishing to try world-class angling. The Baja California peninsula is surrounded by prolific, nutrient-rich waters that feed an immense marine food chain, where various inshore and offshore opportunities promise a bountiful day's catch.

Golf- There are a number of excellent golf courses here in Los Cabos, but none can compare to the award-winning legacy of Pueblo Bonito’s Quivira Golf Course. To quote Golf Digest, “At the tip of Baja Sur is the newest of more than a dozen Jack Nicklaus layouts in Mexico, and perhaps his most compelling, with holes along and atop granite cliffs and sand dunes overlooking the Pacific.” Come play.

Snorkeling and Diving- When snorkeling or diving you can come face to face with some of the most beautiful marine species in the world. Chileno Beach or Cabo Pulmo in particular are wonderful for snorkeling.

Hiking- Hiking is one of the area's favorite pastimes, as several trails are close to native flora and fauna from Rancho Cacachilas to Estero San José del Cabo for the hiker to experience the beauty that surrounds it. Some trails even wind their way through Fox Canyon Waterfall if you’re up a refreshing dip in the chilly waters.

Boating- Rent a sailboat with your family and explore the area in a totally different way. The nearby Marina Cabo San Lucas has 300 slips, as well as excellent shops. If a cruise is your thing, hop aboard at sunset and see the famous arch bathed in red and gold.

But don’t miss the main event; with an unbeatable location in the tourist corridor of Los Cabos, between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, the Mifel Tennis Open is only here once a year.
