Mazatlán Jazz Festival

Save the date! “The most sophisticated jazz experience of the year” returns for its second year at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. The Mazatlán Jazz Festival is scheduled for October 7th through 10th at one of our favorite properties set along Mazatlán’s sun-kissed Pacific coast. Why tell you now? So you have plenty of time to book your stay with us and look forward to everything the festival has to offer.

The second annual event includes everything from a comedy night and salsa dance class, to seaside-pool parties and local shopping excursions. Underscoring these, of course, will be three nights of live jazz featuring some of the world’s most talented performers, musicians, and entertainers. Among the chart-topping artists performing nightly will be Euge Groove, Peter White, Jackiem Joyner, Marion Meadows, Johnny Britt, DW3, Don Bell, La Falsa Orquesta Cubana (Afro-Cuban Jazz), and “The Bad Lady of Comedy”, Monique Marvez.

This year, Mazatlán Jazz Festival’s daily schedule of events will be complemented by a series of health and wellness activities for women led by renowned gynecologist Dr. Gail Jackson, who will host the “Forever Fabulous Forum” with master yoga instructor Robin Downes. Among the other wellness features will be morning stretch and strolls, water zumba, Salsa Y Salsa (cooking and dancing), a city tour with jewelry shopping, and more. Guests looking for still more activities can enjoy golf at nearby Estrella del Mar, horseback riding, and deep-sea fishing.

Those attending the event will be able to customize their experiences, starting with the all-inclusive Gold Package, which features free roundtrip flight options (for a limited time) via private chartered jets on Volaris Airlines departing from San Diego. The Gold Package also includes airport transfers, all food and drinks, plus tickets to nightly concerts and after parties. Preferred and VIP packages invite guests to extend their vacation for up to a week, with perks including guest room and concert seat upgrades, access to nightly events and parties, an oceanside lobster dinner at the fabulous Restaurant Mr. Lionso in Mazatlán, and more.

Don’t wait! Come and see why Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa has been named among the “T+L 500” (500 Best Properties in the World) by Travel + Leisure and the “Top 20 of Western Mexico” by Conde Nast Traveler. Nestled on 20 acres above a lovely crescent beach, the resort has 411 junior and master suites, each with a private terrace or balcony offering breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Enjoy multiple swimming pools with swim-up bars, an outdoor hot tub overlooking the sea, and a private beach. The hotel’s lush tropical gardens, dotted with koi ponds, are a natural habitat for wildlife including swans, flamingos, and peacocks that frequent the pools amid the 150-year-old mangroves. Other activities available at Emerald Bay include a world-class spa, nature preserve tours, tennis, Spanish lessons, and mixology and cooking classes.
