Take Dad to Pueblo Bonito for Father's Day

This June, celebrate Father’s Day like never before by treating Dad to a trip to Pueblo Bonito in Los Cabos. He’s worked hard all year to be the ‘best man’ in your life, so why not take the opportunity to thank him for it? Whether you choose to stay at Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort, Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort, Rosé Resort & Spa, Los Cabos Beach Resort, or Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas, you’ll be sure to enjoy an endless number of activities and luxurious amenities guaranteed to make unforgettable memories. Treat your father to something special; he’s worth it!

RESORT ACTIVITIES:

In the world of fun that awaits you at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort, sign Dad up for guest-favorite activity, Hook & Cook. Each Wednesday, those who have reserved their spot join Pacifica’s resident chef at the hotel’s beachfront to go fishing. The chef then uses whatever’s caught to prepare a signature “mesa de ceviches,” right there on the beach. While preparing the ceviche bar, which includes an array of seafood and house-made salsas, a talented kitchen crew shares its knowledge of the history and tradition behind the scrumptious dishes. Then, best for last, guests like your dad can sample the ceviche, which includes the fresh catch, dover sole, baby scallops, and sea bass all accompanied by a variety salsas, infused oils, and emulsions.

If fishing isn’t your dad’s thing, book yourselves a tee time at Quivira Golf Club. For the seventh consecutive year, the world-famous course has received The Editors' Choice: Best Golf Resorts in Mexico and Central America award by Golf Digest. It’s the newest of more than a dozen Jack Nicklaus layouts in Mexico, and perhaps, we think, his most compelling, with holes along and atop granite cliffs and sand dunes overlooking the Pacific. Indeed, the diversity of the holes, from cacti and arroyos in rolling desert foothills to windswept dunes and cliffs, is supreme and unparalleled amongst other courses in the region. But you or your dad don’t have to be the best to play; situated beside the clubhouse is a spacious, double-ended practice facility right alongside the beach.

Cap off an afternoon on the links with a delicious meal at Quivira Steakhouse. Offering seating indoors or on a breezy, covered terrace with breathtaking ocean views, you and your dad can rehash your performance over a delightfully charred and tender steak. Prime steak entrés including Filet Mignon, Petit Filet, Rib Eye, and New York Strip are all prepared to order and come with mouthwatering sides of your choice like herbed cambray potatoes with truffle oil and parmesan, Brussels sprouts with crispy bacon, gourmet macaroni and cheese, and cheesy roasted cauliflower. Afterwards, stay for a drink by the firepit at 19th Hole Bar.

Speaking of refreshments, why not set aside an afternoon to treat Dad to a margarita? With Mexico being the birthplace of tequila, Pueblo Bonito takes its margaritas very seriously. In fact, this spring, five Pueblo Bonito properties celebrated the Margarita Mile Package, with each participating resort serving its own signature version of the world-famous cocktail. Quivira Clubhouse, on the fringe of the Quivira Golf Club has featured the Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita. Featuring a thatched roof and spectacular ocean views, the Clubhouse is situated between the first tee and 18th green and is open for breakfast, and from noon to 3 pm.

So why not try a salted sip yourselves? Better still, learn why the margarita makes your taste buds zing by signing up for a tequila tasting session with one of our resort’s master tequila sommeliers, known as a catadores. A cata, or tasting, is the best way to learn about the distinct flavor profiles of tequila, which can range from citrus and mint to vanilla and butterscotch and often vary greatly from one distillery to the next. A tasting with us may be your best chance to learn how to rate a given tequila according to a variety of qualities, including its color, body, nose, flavor, and finish. You will also learn what geographic factors qualify a tequila to truly be called "tequila.”

Of course, no visit to Pueblo Bonito would be complete without a visit to Armonia Spa. And no, it’s not just for the ladies; when you’re finished on the golf course and ready to kick-back and recharge after all the excitement, we invite you to spend a day letting us massage your muscles back in order. Over the years, the expert staff at Armonia have built a reputation for infusing traditional spa services with cutting-edge health and wellness techniques, and we’re especially proud of our Organic Collection, a menu of 100% organic treatments. The Organic Massage (50 or 80 minutes) uses one of three organic handmade mousses to unlock the full benefits of a sport or deep tissue massage, perfect for athletes or other fitness enthusiasts who want to target specific problem spots. At Armonia Spa, any and all treatments and services are customizable to meet your individual needs. This Father’s Day, and every day, our number one priority at Pueblo Bonito, is you!

DESTINATION ACTIVITIES:

Think Dad might be in the mood for an adventure? Experience the vast beauty of Cabo and the awe-inspiring scenery a UNESCO protected biosphere reserve from hundreds of feet off the ground on a thrilling Zip Line tour. There are several Cabo Zip Line tour options to match the experience you want, from a leisurely beginner's ride to extreme high-speed thrills. Rappel from sheer rock walls, brave the commando bridge, zip through extreme canopies tandem style and upside down before swinging high over the canyon on Cabo Adventure’s signature “Pendulum” tour. Whatever your zest for adventure Pueblo Bonito’s resort desk will be happy to recommend the perfect tour for you.

And the fun doesn’t have to end there. Explore what the Baja desert has to offer on one of Cabo Adventure’s ATV Desert Excursions. Prepare to get dusty as you off-road on your very own Polaris UTV, turning and weaving through their specially designed course built for maximum excitement. You’ll traverse through the scenic canyon and mountain trails in a secluded, natural area while riding on a brand-new Polaris ATV vehicle with an experienced local guide leading the way. The EcoFarm tour option includes a delicious Mexican buffet lunch, beer, mezcal and tequila tasting; it’s the perfect way to close a day of adventure on ATVs in Los Cabos.

Exploring Land’s End is a must for any visit to Los Cabos. Take Dad to the rugged and iconic El Arco rock formation that erupts from the sea at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula. Synonymous with Land's End, El Arco is a popular tourist attraction and the central focus of countless Cabo San Lucas vacation photos. We think a boat taxi ride around the inspiring red rocks of El Arco is the perfect way to see the famous natural attraction up close when you visit.

Finally, make time to take Dad deep sea fishing. Our coastline has long drawn experienced and leisure fishermen alike, with plentiful waters that promise catches you’ll reminisce about for years. Cabo San Lucas is internationally recognized for its offshore sportfishing with sizable marlin, though autumn tends to lure top results. Throughout the year, and in June, you can count on bites from other massive billfish, like swordfish and sailfish. You’ll also come across mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and shark. Should you decide to venture into the world of mangrove fishing expect bites from snook, red snapper, grouper, and triggerfish.

No matter how you choose to celebrate Dad, we’re here to help make your ideal getaway as close to perfect as possible. Make your reservation today and be sure to contact the concierge before or upon arrival for help scheduling activities!
